Biography

Dr. Osman Adiguzel graduated from Department of Physics, Ankara University, Turkey in 1974 and received PhD- degree from Dicle University, Diyarbakir-Turkey. He studied at Surrey University, Guildford, UK, as a post doctoral research scientist in 1986-1987, and his studies focused on shape memory alloys. He worked as research assistant, 1975-80, at Dicle University and shifted to Firat University in 1980. He became professor in 1996, and he has been retired due to the age limit of 67; following academic life of 45 years. He published over 60 papers in international and national journals; He joined over 100 conferences and symposia in international and national level as participant, invited speaker or keynote speaker with contributions. Dr. Adiguzel served his directorate of Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences, Firat University in 1999-2004. He supervised 5 PhD- theses and 3 M.Sc theses. He is also Technical committee member of many conferences. He received a certificate which is being awarded to him and his experimental group in recognition of significant contribution of 2 patterns to the Powder Diffraction File – Release 2000. The ICDD (International Centre for Diffraction Data) also appreciates cooperation of his group and interest in Powder Diffraction File. Scientific fields of Dr. Adiguzel are as follow: Shape memory effect and displacive phase transformations in shape memory alloys and other alloys, molecular dynamics simulations, alloy modeling, electron microscopy, electron diffraction, x-ray diffraction and crystallography

Biography

Prof. Litter is Doctor in Chemistry (Buenos Aires University, Argentina), with postdoctoral studies at the University of Arizona, USA. She is a Senior Researcher of the National Research Council and a Full Professor at the National University of General San Martín (Argentina). She has more than 200 scientific publications in international journals, books, and book chapters. She received the Mercosur Prize in Science and Technology (2006 and 2011), the Charreau Prize (2021), and she received the Prize for Latin American Women in Chemistry. She was President of the 5th. International Congress on Arsenic in the Environment (2014). She is a Member of TWAS and of the Academy of Science of Latin America (ACAL).

Suleimenov E.N. graduated from the Kazakh Mining and Metallurgy Institute, metallurgy faculty in 1960 with a specialty of a metallurgical engineer in the area of non-ferrous, rare, and precious metals. Candidate of Technical Sciences (1970), senior research associate (1981), Doctor of Technical Sciences (2005). After graduation was assigned to work in the Institute of Metallurgy and Ore Beneficiation of the Academy of Sciences of Kazakh SSR. During the work in IMOB performed job duties of a senior laboratory technician (1960-1961), engineer (1961-1963), junior (1963-1971), and senior (1972-1986, 1995-2000) research associate, research team (multidisciplinary) leader (1985-1995), head of laboratory (2004-2005), head of department (2005-2006), deputy director for science (2000-2004), acting director of the Institute of Metallurgy and Ore Benefication (2004). 2009-present – deputy head of the “Advanced materials and technologies” laboratory of the Kazakh-British Technical University. Since 2020, Chief Researcher at the Scientific and Educational Center "Materials Science and Corrosion Problems" of KBTU

Biography

Prof. Dr. Adem Onal was born in 1966 in Artvin-Turkey. He graduated from Karadeniz Technical University, Department of Chemistry in 1985,Turkey. He became an Associate Professor in 1997 and a Professor in 2003. He specializes in Synthetic Organic Chemistry, Plant Chemistry, Natural dyes. He has 67 articles, 67 papers, 4 books, 1 patent. He has mentored many graduate and doctoral students. His article on Covid-19 has attracted attention in the scientific community. He participated in national and international symposiums and completed many projects.

He is the founder of Tokat Gaziosmanpasa University Natural Dyes Application and Research Center. In its field, the Faculty of Medicine hospital attracted a lot of attention to oncology patients with the project named “Add color to my life”. He also conducts research on the extraction of dyes from plants, the development of permanent dyeing techniques, herbal treatment, and alternative medicine. He worked at the Maturation Institutes of the Ministry of National Education of Turkey. He served as the Dean of the Faculty and the Head of the Department. He is still working as a professor in the Department of Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Tokat Gaziosmanpaşa University

Dr. Mihail Lucian Birsa is currently a Professor in the Department of Chemistry at the Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi, Romania. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from the same university in 1995. He joined the master's program at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University of Iasi in 1995, and in 2000 was awarded a Ph. D. degree in Organic Chemistry. From 2000 to 2002, he was a postdoctoral fellow under the mentorship of Professor Samuel Braverman at Bar-Ilan University, Israel. In 2003 he was selected as a member of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, working with Professor Henning Hopf in TU Braunschweig - Germany. Since then numerous return fellowships were granted by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.

Dr. Amin A. El-Meligi is a Professor of Chemistry at the National Research Center, Egypt. Formerly, He was a VP for Academic Affairs, Dean of Student Affairs, and Head of Research at the University of Technology Bahrain., Egypt. He received his BSc and MSc from Cairo University. He received his Ph.D. from UMIST-Manchester, UK and Cairo University, Egypt under joined supervision system. Professor El-Meligi has over 28 years of research and teaching experience. He participated in a number of national and international research projects. Professor El-Meligi is a member of the international and national organizations, especially, International Centre for Diffraction Data (ICDD), USA. He was a visiting scientist from 2000 to 2004 at Durham University, UK. He is a frequent speaker at national and international conferences. Professor El-Meligi received the award and honor from a number of organizations Misr El-Kheir Foundation, Egypt, awarded him one of the first annual Scientific Publications Awards-2010.

Melike (Koçoğlu) Kalkan is Associate Profesor Dr. in Ankara University, Faculty of Science, Department of Chemistry. She got her M.S. degree in 2002 and Ph. D. degree in 2008 in Organic Chemistry from Ankara University. From 2002-2016 She has worked as research assistant at Organic Chemistry Laboratories.

Kalkan’s research focuses on the synthetic and mechanistic aspects of transition metal catalyzed C-C coupling and C-N coupling of organozinc, organocopper and Grignard reagents. She has international publications and national research projects in this area. She has many national and international presentations to scientific meetings. Also, She has taught some courses such as Organic Chemistry, General Chemistry, Astrochemistry, Stereochemistry, The Chemistry of Dyes.

Sharipov Rustam Hasanovich has successfully completed his graduation in 2005. Currently he is pursuing PhD majoring in metallurgy from the Kazakh-British Technical University, Republic of Kazakhstan. He studied at the Kazakh National Technical University named after K I Satpayev specializing in metallurgy (2005- 2009); also specialized in materials science and technology of new materials from the same university (2010 to 2012). He worked in the Laboratory of Technology of Electrochemical Productions as an Engineer Researcher at the National Center for Complex Processing of Mineral Raw Materials, Republic of Kazakhstan (2009-2013).
